Working as a technician at Weta Workshop sees Eve creating some of the most complex and beautiful armour and costume work seen on film.
Gaining a position there was a long-held, hard-strived for goal. She finally achieved it by entering the world of wearable arts competition and gaining Sir Richard Taylor’s attention with her award-winning entry 'Something Wicked This Way Comes.' This entry combined costume jewellery techniques with the ancient art of chain mail. The piece weighed in at just over 20 kilos and was composed of over 74,000 component parts.
Her background encompasses jewellery, lighting, furniture and yacht design. Yes, she can (and does) design and make pretty much everything.
Eve's bespoke jewellery designs (for renowned London jeweller Erickson Beamon) have stalked along the catwalks of London, Paris, Milan & New York and been captured in editorials for many international publications including Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and Harper's & Queen.
She has always been design-oriented and can trace her design and craft skills to her early years; learning to sew on an old treadle Singer sewing-machine, embroidering and building with Lego.
Eve holds degrees in Industrial Design and English Literature from Wellington's Victoria University.
